Horror and me....

A day off from work! Hasn't had a decent dinner in three days as I simply see no point in eating dinner when I reached home at 9.30pm and all I feel like doing is sleep! Listening to customers yakking and complaining at every little problem they have.... its really tiring, irritating and gets on my nerves every single time. Luckily there are lots of other colleagues who faced similar problems and we spend our time bitching about it ^^

So I thought I could have some peace and quiet at my own home.... except that the "neighbour" living right above me is undergoing some stupid renovation at this very moment Hope it would stop soon, I can feel a headache coming along.

I shall endure all that noise and instead proceed to my main topic of the day- horror movie. we were chatting about a new Thai horror flick "Alone" and it got me thinking: Can someone explain the popularity of horror movies?

When I watch a movie, I enjoy it more if I can sympathize with one of the characters and how they are feeling. That's typical I presume ;)
SO from my past history with the horror films I have watched, I conclude that there are two types of characters in a horror flick: the victims who are dying ghastly deaths (some of them probably deserve it) and the ghost that are doing the slaughter (with a rational reason behind all the killings of course).

My problem with those movies is that I automatically shut my eyes at the scary portion and spend most of the time just listening to the screams of the victims. So I steer clear of horror movies. Instead I go for light-hearted stuff like "The Simpson's Movie" which I recently watched with JunZ and Barry. Mindlessly entertainment and I'll go home at ease knowing I won't suffer from a nightmare of some sort.

But for the rest of you who likes horror flicks.... you crave from the excitement that the ghostly tales bring or are there any other reason behind it?!

Finally....

I'm back to blogging! Yup, it's been ages since my last post. Did not want to delay it anymore Cause I don't want to blog about it like donkey months later. By then I wouldn't have the urge to blog about it anymore! :D

4th July

Met up with Barry and JunZ for a lunch outing. Shop about at Sasa after that and I bought lots of stuff!

Bought powder puff, lip balm, compact mirror and eye lash curler because they are essentials! Haha, I have forgotten when I started making bimbo statements like that ;)

I wasn't very happy with my purchases. The only thing I was pleased with was the mirror because I like the metallic look to it. Very nice! However, I regretted purchasing the eye lash curler because it was a little hard to use. The lip balm was alright I guess since I love the strawberry smell to it but I think there are better ones out there.... Any good recommendations from you guys?

18th July

Went shopping with Ying AGAIN and this time there was no Kim to accompany me when Ying was late for half an hour!! I should be used to it since this wasn't the first none would it be the last *shakes head*. Luckily I had JunZ to chit chat with on the phone while waiting. Thanks JunZ ^^

Nevertheless the objective of the day is to find a casual dress for Ying to attend her cousins wedding during the day and a pair of shoes and accessories for the evening. It was so SO tiring! Went to different places in search for a white or pinkish dress but there was either a lack of dress size(at TopShop), out of her budget or else it wasn't suitable for the occasion. Sigh.... when has Singapore become such a difficult place to shop in?! I was actually on a lookout for bags that day BUT none caught my eye OR it was just WAY out of my budget.....In the end, we decided to just let her wear one of my dress. Problem solved! Hehe, should have though of it right from the start to save myself some trouble!

It was dinner time with Ying and her bf at a Japanese Restaurant "Tonkichi", situated at Ngee Ann City.

A bowl was provided to grind the sesame seed.... traditional!

The food there is fantastic. The fried chicken, pork chop, Japanese curry, tonjiru soup, veg and rice (can be refilled w/o extra charge) are all excellent as seen in the pic below.

We managed to clear the table.... Amazing huh? ^^ The only complaints I had..... It was a little expensive =( For an unemployed person like me.... Ouch, it really burn a big hole in my pocket......

20th July

Met up with Raymond and Siew Wen at Orchard. It's a miracle how we have managed to keep in contact with each other for these past 7 years! We remain close although our contact is sporadic but whenever we do talk, we pick up where we left off. We chat about me being a grad, Siew Wen's 1 more year in uni and Raymond getting married next year! It was really great chatting with them and I hope another outing will be organized soon ;)

I guess that's all for the updates.

I shall end off the post with some of the blogskins I have done recently. It's really fun! Took me sometime to know all the functions but it was a rewarding experience!

This skin is too starry..... too flowery, too cloudy. To conclude, I didn't know what has gotten to me. It may looked ugly but it sure took me a long time to design this!

Whew, that took me long enough! Time for dinner. Hungry!
